| Deposit | DEPOSIT LIES NEAR NW RIM OF UNCOMPAHGRE CALDERA IN INFILL SEQUENCE COMPOSED OF HENSON MEMBER SANDSTONES, FISH CANYON TUFF, AND PORPHYRITIC ANDESITE FLOWS. SEQUENCE IS INTRUDED BY MIOCENE RHYOLITE PLUGS AT WEST END OF CHAIN OF SIMILAR PLUGS EMPLACED AFTER LAKE CITY CALDERA COLLAPSE. MALAN (1955) NOTED RADIOACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH FLOW BRECCIA. FRACTURES TRENDING N 80 E, 85 NW, APPARENTLY HAD NO CONTROL ON MINERALIZATION. |
