Subject category Comment text
Deposit SEVERAL PEGMATITES OCCUR ON THE PROPERTY, BUT ONLY THREE HAVE BEEN WORKED EXTENSIVELY. THE MAJOR PEGMATITES HAVE LITTLE OR NO ZONING BUT CAN HAVE WIDE (1/4 INCH TO 3 INCH) VARIATIONS IN GRAIN SIZE. MOST OF THE MICA IS LESS THAN EIGHT INCHES IN DIAMETER AND MINERAL STAINED. THE MICA FOUND ON B.A.T. NO. 5 IS FLAT, HARD, AND MOSTLY UNSTAINED. ACCESSORY MINERALS ARE GARNET, TOURMALINE, VARYING AMOUNTS OF BERYL, DENDRITIC MANGANESE, ILMENITE AND QUARTZ.
