Deposit ABOUT 150 FEET OF THE PEGMATITE BODY IS EXPOSED ON THE STRIKE. FROM A CENTRAL POINT THE EASTERN EXTENSION IS N 85 E AND THE STRIKE ALONG THE WESTERN EXTENSION IS N 75 W. WHITE QUARTZ, SMOKEY QUARTZ, AND THE WHITE MICROCLINE ARE THE PRINCIPAL CONSTITUENTS OF THE DIKE. THERE IS NO ZONING APPARENT, HOWEVER LARGE CRYSTALS OF MICROCLINE AND MASSES OF ANHEDRAL QUARTZ AS LARGE AS 2 FEET IN DIAMETER OCCUPY THE INTERIOR PORTION OF THE DIKE. THE GRAIN SIZE DECREASES TOWARD THE EDGES OF THE DEPOSIT. BOOKS OF MUSCOVITE AS LARGE AS 4 INCHES IN DIAMETER, MOSTLY OF SCRAP MICA DISSEMINATED THROUGHOUT THE PEGMATITE AND CONSTITUTE 1 TO 2 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL VOLUME. COMMON ACCESSORY MINERALS ARE NOTABLY ABSENT. ONLY A FEW BLEBS OF SPESSARTITE WERE OBSERVED.
Deposit Discovery Year: 1955-1956
