MERRITT, HAM, AND ANDERSON (1941), ATTACHED TO BURKE (1936), SAID THAT ANOTHER MINE WAS REPORTED 0.25 TO 0.5 MI FARTHER NORTH IN A SADDLE.

  • WHILE ZIRCONS WERE FORMED IN HYDROTHERMAL VEINS, SOME COPPER WAS ALSO INCORPORATED IN THE ZIRCONS IN CONCENTRATIONS MUCH HIGHER THAN IN THE GRANITE. LATER WEATHERING OF THE ZIRCONS COULD HAVE RELEASED SOME COPPER IONS TO THE HENNESSEY SEA.

(1980, DEPOSIT 22) SAID THAT THE STRIKE WAS N47OW. PERHAPS THESE WERE DIFFERENT PEGMATITES. MERRITT, HAM, AND ANDERSON (1941), ATTACHED TO BURK (1936), SAID THAT ANOTHER MINE WAS REPORTED 0.25 TO 0.5 MI FARTHER NORTH.
