Comments on the location information

  • THE ORIGINAL LOCATION BY ATCHISON (1936) SHOWS THE LOCATION TO BE NEAR WHERE WISDOM CANYON BECOMES NARROW. ATCHISON'S CORNERS FOR THE SECTION ARE INCORRECT, SO WE MUST RELY ON HIS GEOGRAPHIC-TOPOGRAPHIC RELATIONSHIPS FOR A CORRECT LOCATION FOR HIS 291-2 SAMPLE. HALE (1981B, P. 310, 317, FOOTNOTE 44, LOC. 33) LISTS WISDOM CANYON SHAFTS, QUOTING ATCHISON (1936, SHEET 291-B).
