B IS LISTED BY RYAN (JULY 1936, SHEET KR-35), WHO STATED THAT BILL KENNEDY, OF HOBART, REMEMBERS COPPER MINING AT THIS PLACE IN 1896. IT IS ON A BENCH OF A STEEP CANYON ABOUT 100 FT ABOVE THE ROAD. A SHAFT WAS SUNK IN AZURITE AND MALACHITE. THE PROPERTY IN 1936 WAS OWNED BY WALTER B. STEPHENS, PRESIDENT, HOME STATE BANK OF HOBART, OKLA., WHO LEASED IT TO E.N. AYCOCK OF LEVELLAND, TEX., WHO SANK A SHAFT CLOSE TO AN OLDER SHAFT. THE BENCH IS 12 FT WIDE. (THIS SAME DESCRIPTION WAS USED FOR 4007576, FLAT TOP MOUNTAIN-4, WHICH WAS LOCATED FARTHER E.)
