  • ELEVATION GIVEN ABOVE IS FOR LOC. A; ELEVATION OF LOC. B IS 1450 FT. RYAN (NOV. 1936, SHEET KR-45) LOCATES 4 SHAFTS SUNK BY CLAUDE PARSONS. THREE OF THESE ARE ON A SUPPOSED DIABASE DIKE STRIKING WNW. THE DIKE IS WEATHERED TO TALC IN MANY PLACES AND HAS A 2-FT VEIN OF CUPRITE, WITH MALACHITE, AZURITE, AND NATIVE COPPER, SAID TO ASSAY AT 7% CU. LOC. A WAS DUG IN 1903. GEOLOGY BY CHASE (1950A,B), WALPER (1949, 1951), AND VIDRINE AND FERNANDEZ (1986B).
