  • SEVERAL PITS 10 FT OR MORE IN DIAMETER ARE PRESENT. ONE PIT WAS A MAIN SHAFT, DUG 100 FT DEEP FOR NATIVE COPPER IN FLOWERPOT SHALE, BY A MR. BROWN IN 1919, ON PROPERTY ONCE OWNED BY AARON PENNER. THERE IS PART OF AN OLD BUCKET DREDGE AND OTHER METAL SHEETS LYING AROUND.
