ABOUT 12 INCHES OF SHALE, DOLOMITE, GYPSUM, AND WOODY MATERIAL WERE COLLECTED (SITE 58, USBM SAMPLE NO. RAF-67) BY STROUD AND OTHERS (1970, P. 39). SITE 57, USBM SAMPLE NO. RAF-23, CAME FROM THE MILL TAILINGS. SITE 58 ASSAYED AT 10.60% CU. SITE 57 ASSAYED AT 1.95% CU. THE MINE WAS A SIDE-HILL CUT. THE MILL WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1917.
