POSSIBLY THIS COULD REFER TO THE MCFADDIN MINE FARTHER SOUTH. CUMMINS (1890, P. 196) MAY BE THE EARLIEST REFERENCE. CUMMINS (1891, PL. 18) SHOWS A PROSPECT IN THIS POSITION. Deposit STROUD AND OTHERS (1970, P. 37) IS MAIN REFERENCE. SMITH (1974, P. 49, 62), CUMMINS (1891, P. 451, 454; 1893, P. 234-235), AND POSSIBLY RICHARD (1915, P. 645) REFER TO THIS. SMITH (1974, P. 61, 70) DESCRIBED SOME SAMPLES ABOUT 3500-4000 FT ESE OF THE MINE. THE MINE CONSISTED OF ONE ADIT. A SMELTER AND TWO-CELL JIG WERE CONSTRUCTED IN 1880 BY GOLDBERG MINING CO. ON MCFARLIN RANCH.
