Deposit OLSON (1962, P. 114-116) MEASURED 19-32 FT OF BEDS. THIS IS ONE OF THE RICHEST VERTEBRATE LOCALITIES IN TEXAS FOR THE SAN ANGELO FORMATION.
Deposit OLSON (1962, P. 98, 102, 114-116) IS REFERENCE. HE MEASURED 19-32 FT OF UPPER SAN ANGELO IN WHICH MANY VERTEBRATES, PLANT REMAINS, AND SOME COPPER WERE FOUND ON DRIVER RANCH. THE QUARRY WAS NAMED AFTER JACK KAHN WHO DISCOVERED THE FOSSILS IN 1956. ABOUT 18 FT OF OVERBURDEN WAS REMOVED.
