Comments on the location information

  • THE CARVINGS WERE IN SANDSTONE, WHICH WOULD PROBABLY BE THE WHITEHORSE SANDSTONE THROUGH WHICH EAGLE CREEK RUNS, N. OF THE WHITE HAT RANCH HEADQUARTERS. A 180-FT BLUFF OCCURS ON THE S. SIDE OF EAGLE CREEK, ABOUT 2 MI NNE OF THE RANCH HEADQUARTERS, THE LOWER 60 FT OF WHICH WOULD BE IN THE WHITEHORSE GROUP. POSSIBLY, THE BORNITE WAS SEEN IN THIS SECTION. EXACT LOCALITIES ARE NOT GIVEN FOR THE CARVINGS OR THE BORNITE. GO 5 MI S. OF MARYNEAL ON TEXAS HWY. 1170. PROCEED E. 0.5 MI. TURN S. 0.75 MI ON UNIMPROVED ROAD. WALK SE ABOUT 600 FT, CROSSING EAGLE CREEK, TO BLUFF ON S. SIDE OF EAGLE CREEK. POSSIBLY, THE BORNITE WAS SEEN HERE.
