  • HENDERSON (1928, P. 46, UNITS 29-40) MEASURED 42 FT OF SECTION HERE, ASSIGNING IT TO THE LOWER CHOZA, ABOVE THE BULLWAGON DOLOMITE. THE ROCKS WERE SANDSTONE, SHALE, AND DOLOMITE. HE DID NOT MENTION COPPER.

OF ROBERT LEE (COKE CO.), TOLD HALE THAT HE FOUND COPPER ORE ASSAYING AT 18% CU NEAR MILES IN SOUTHWESTERN RUNNELS COUNTY (NOV. 15, 1971). POSSIBLY, THERE MAY BE A STEEP CUT ON THE W. BANK OF WILLOW CREEK, ABOUT 600 FT NW OF U.S. HWY. 67, SW OF MILES.
