OF THE HOUSE. THE RED BEDS EXTEND ABOUT 1400 FT S. OF THE HOUSE TO THE BASE OF THE CRETACEOUS ANTLERS SANDSTONE (EL. 2060 FT APPROX.). THIS WOULD BE IN THE VALE FORMATION, ABOUT 160 FT ABOVE THE STANDPIPE LIMESTONE.

THE ARTICLES MENTIONED THAT SILVER WAS FOUND IN A HILL 1 MI SW OF RAINY CREEK, IN A WELL ON MR. LEE'S PLACE. RAINY CREEK IS JUST E. OF ABILENE, EXTENDING PARTLY TO THE SE, BUT IT IS NOT NEAR BEAR COVE.
