Deposit LOCATION UNKNOWN. GIVEN AS N. YOUNG COUNTY, ALONG TRAIL FROM FT. BELKNAP TO ARCHER COUNTY.
Deposit BUCKLEY (1874, P. 10, 39, 42) MENTIONS THAT LOOSE MASSES OF COPPER ORE WERE WASHED FROM THE RED CLAY IN NORTHERN YOUNG COUNTY. ON P. 39, HE MENTIONED THAT STRATA WITH FOSSILS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE COPPER. THIS PROBABLY WAS THE SEDWICK FORMATION (LIMESTONES). NO EXACT LOCALITY IS GIVEN. ON P. 10, HE MENTIONED THAT HE TRAVELED THROUGH YOUNG COUNTY IN MARCH 1861, FROM FT. BELKNAP TO ARCHER COUNTY TO CLAY COUNTY. BUCKLEY (1866, P. 24-25) MADE GENERAL REFERENCE.
