| Deposit | WOLLASTONITE OCCURS WITH LIMESTONE AND MARBLE ASSOCIATED WITH MIGMATITIC, PELITIC AND SEMI-PELITIC ROCKS. THE DEPOSIT OUTCROPS ON 3 LOW HILLS (WESTERN, NORTHERN, AND EASTERN HILLS) THAT FORM A CRESCENT-SHAPED RIDGE ABOUT 2.5 MILES LONG. THE DEPOSIT IS MAINLY ON EASTERN HILL WHERE MARBLE IS THE DOMINANT HOST. THE WOLLASTONITE-MARBLE STRIKES ENE AND IS INTERBEDDED WITH WOLLASTONITE-FREE MARBLE. IN OUTCROP, THE WOLLASTONITE BEDS ARE 1500 FT BY >100 FT, BUT ORE IS SMALLER AREA. |
