Deposit BARITE IS INTERBEDDED WITH LIMESTONE AND IS GENERALLY IMPURE. THE DEPOSIT IS ABOUT 4000 FT LONG. THE MAJOR PORTION OF THE RESERVES ARE CONTAINED IN TWO EXPOSED NORTHERN LENSES DESIGNATED THE MAIN DEPOSIT AND THE NORTH DEPOSIT. DEPOSIT IS BELIEVED TO BE SECONDARY EPIGENETIC.
