| Deposit | THE WOLLASTONITE BODY IS AN ELLIPTICAL DOME-SHAPED MASS ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE LONG (N-S) AND 400 FT WIDE (E-W); THE MASS IS > 300 FT THICK. WOLLASTONITE UNCONFORMABLY OVERLIES IGNEOUS (DIORITE, MICA-DIABASE, FELSITE PORPHYRY) AND SEDIMENTARY-METAMORPHIC ROCKS (SHALE, SLATE, SANDSTONE). THE SEDIMENTARY-METAMORPHIC ROCKS ARE ALSO UNCONFORMABLE WITH THE IGNEOUS ROCKS. THE AU-AG-CU MINERALIZATION IS AT THE WOLLASTONITE-IGNEOUS ROCK INTERFACE. MOST OF THE WOLLASTONITE IS BARREN OF METALS WITH THE PERIPHERY CONTAINING UP TO 0.5% BORNITE. |
