Deposit OLD LAKE BEDS ARE EXPOSED SE OF THE SALAR. ORGANICS ARE LOCALLY ABUNDANT IN THE SALAR. BORATES OCCUR IN LAYERS INTERBEDDED WITH SALT, GYPSUM, CLAY AND SODIUM SULFATE.
