Deposit HIGH GRADE ULEXITE IN MANTOS OF VARIABLE THICKNESS. EVAPORITES OCCUPY 210 SQ KM OF THE BASIN WHICH IN TURN OCCUPIES A GRABEN BETWEEN THE EASTERN MOUNTAINS ALTA AND CHANI AND THE MOUNTAINS WEST OF COBRES. THE SALT CRUST IS COMMONLY 5-20 CM THICK. GYPSUM OCCURS AS ROSETTES AND ISOLATED CRYSTALS. ULEXITE OCCURS AS NODULES ABOUT 0.4 CM IN DIAMETER.
