Deposit THIS DEPOSIT LIES STRATIGRAPHICALLY ABOVE THAT OF MONTE AMARILLO. IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SIJES FM AND THE B-BEARING INTERVAL IS 113 M THICK. THE ORE MINERALS ARE FOUND IN GREEN CLAY GANGUE. THE DEPOSIT IS ZONED BOTH VERTICALLY AND LATERALLY. ALONSO (1986) ESTIMATES THAT THE B DEPOSITION PERIOD LASTED 400,000 TO 500,000 YEARS (BASED ON SEDIMENT-SALINE PAIRS). THE COLEMANITE IN THIS DEPOSIT APPEARS TO BE OF PRIMARY ORIGIN.
