| Deposit | ANOTHER DEPOSIT IS LOCATED AT SOUTH END OF SERRA DO RABICHO AT THE SANTANA MINE. THIS MANGANESE IS EPIGENETIC AFTER THE HOST ROCK (NONFERRUGINOUS WEATHERED AND KAOLINIZED CONGLOMERATIC ARKOSE ) FORMED. THE DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF MANY THIN LENSES OF HIGH GRADE MANGANESE OXIDE, POSITIONED BELOW THE JASPER AND IRON-FORMATION ZONES. THIS DEPOSIT HAS NOT BEEN THOROUGHLY EXPLORED (1984) AND IS ONLY MARGINALLY COMMERCIAL, AS OF 11-87. THIS RECORD INCLUDES DATA FROM W002145 AND W002326 WHICH HAVE BEEN DELETED FROM THE DATA BASE.
