Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • FAULTING; PYTT; PNLD; CLCP + PYRT; THE VAMMALA AREA IS LOCATED SOUTH OF THE TAMPERE SCHIST BELT. ULTRAMAFIC BODIES OCCUR AS SMALL ISOLATED INTRUSION-S WITHIN HIGHLY METAMORPHOSED GNEISSES. GRANODIORITES ARE THE- PREDOMINANT PLUTONIC ROCKS. THE STORMI ULTRAMAFIC INSTUSION -CONTAINS AT LEAST THREE MAJOR LAYERS: 1) AN HYPIDIOMORPHIC PE-RIDOTITE LAYER ON THE BOTTOM, 2) AN INTERMEDIATE GRONOBLASTIC -HORNBLENDITE LAYER, AND 3) AN UPPER CATACLASTIC PERIDOTITE LAY-ER. MOST OF THE SULFIDES ARE CONCENTRATED IN THE LOWEST PERID-OTITE LAYER BY MAGMATIC SEGREGATION.
