  • TO 52,000 MT/YR NI BY 1984.MINING PLAN: DURING THE FIRST 10 YEARS, 29.3 MIL TONS OF ORE CONTAINING 2.3% NI, 0.074% CO, AND 24.0% FE WILL BE -MINED. NICKEL AND COBALT RECOVERY RATES WILL BE 82.3% AND 24.-9% RESPECTIVELY. THE SECOND 10 YEAR PERIOD WILL SEE 39 MIL TO-NS OF ORE CONTAINING 1.5% NI, 0.09% CO, AND 26.7% FE MINED. N-ICKEL RECOVERY WILL BE 84.5%, WHILE COBALT RECOVERY WILL BE 45-.0%. AS OF 1981, THERE WERE NO FIRM PLANS TO START PRODUCTION-.
