PIERRE AND SENT BY SHIP TO SOREL, QUEBEC, SOME 900 KM AWAY ON THE SOUTH SHORE OF THE ST. LAWRENCE, FOR TREATMENT. UP TO 450 000 MT PER YEAR OF PIG IRON COULD BE CONVERTED INTO STEEL IN PROPOSED NEW PLANT. UNKNOWNAVERAGE INCLUDES A LOW PRODUCTION YEAR - 1979. NO DATA AVAILABLE FOR 1983 AND 1984.
