Economic information

Geologic structures

Type of structure Regional
Structure description Principal Zone Of Pegmatites Trends Northeast; Most Pegmatites Strike Northeast, But A Few Strike Northwest.

Ore body information

  • General form VERY IRREGULAR, LENSES
    Plunge direction SW

Controls for ore emplacement

  • Fractures, Dilation Zones (Cameron, 1951), Bedding And Foliation

Comments on the geologic information

  • METASEDIMENTARY ROCKS ARE BADLY WEATHERED, AND ALL THE PLAGIOCLASE IN THE PEGMATITE HAS BEEN ALTERED TO KAOLIN. THE PEGMATITE CONSISTS OF A MIXTURE OF PLAGIOCLASE, PERTHITE, AND QUARTZ WITH MINOR BIOTITE. EXCEPT FOR A HALF-INCH BORDER ZONE, THERE IS LITTLE EVIDENCE OF ZONATION.

Economic information about the deposit and operations

Comments on the workings information

  • DEVELOPMENT CONSISTS OF A 44 FOOT ADIT, AND 22-FOOT AND 28 FOOT DRIFTS.

Comments on development

  • ECON.COM: THE PEGMATITE SEEMS TO BE SMALL, AND FELDSPAR IS HEAVILY INTERGROWN WITH QUARTZ.
