  • PEGMATITIC MATERIAL EXPOSED DURING 1947 IS A MEDIUM- TO COARSE-GRAINED MIXTURE OF PLAGIOCLASE WITH SUBORDINATE PERTHITE INTERGROWN WITH QUARTZ. SIX FEET BELOW GROUND SURFACE, THE PLAGIOCLASE IS ONLY SLIGHTLY KAOLINIZED.
