  • MINE WAS DEVELOPED IN THE PERIPHERAL ZONE ALONG THE WEST SIDE AT THE NORTH END OF BODY. THE HANGING WALL OF CUT WAS DEVELOPED IN COUNTRY ROCK WHICH CONSISTED PREDOMINATELY OF LAYERED, FINE-GRAINED, QUARTZ-FELDSPAR-MUSCOVITE GNEISS. THE FOOTWALL CONSISTED OF THE PERIPHERAL ZONE OF ANTHOPHYLLITE ASBESTOS AND DEEPLY WEATHERED ULTRAMAFIC ROCK. CONTACTS ARE SHARP. THE ANTHOPHYLLITE ZONE VARIES FROM 3 TO 6 FEET IN WIDTH.
