  • THE ULTRAMAYFIC BODY IS COMPOSED MOSTLY OF RELATIVELY UNALTERED DUNITE. THE ASBESTOS ARE IS THE PERIPHERAL ZONE MASS-FIBER VARIETY AND OCCURS IN A ZONE ABOUT TWO FEET WIDE THATLIES BETWEEN THE DUNITE AND AN ALTERATION ZONE COMPOSED OF TALC, CHLORITE, AND VERMICULATE. THE ORE IS MASSIVE, COARSE GRAINED AND VARIES FROM CREAM TO TAN IN COLOR.

  • MINE WORKINGS IN 1963 CONSIST OF SMALL OPEN PIT TRENCH IN THE CONTACT ZONE ON NORTH SIDE OF BODY ADJACENT TO CREEK. THE WORKINGS HAVE NOT BEEN EXTENSIVELY DEVELOPED. CONRAD(1963) BELIEVES A LARGE TONNAGE OF MASS-FIBER ORE IS STILL PRESENT.
