  • WASTE MATERIAL ON MINE DUMP INDICATES THE COMPOSITION RANGES FROM UNALTERED DUNITE TO HIGHLY TALCOSE PERIDOTITE, AND THE ENTIRE BODY IS LACED WITH NUMEROUS THIN VEINS OF CROSS-FIBER ASBESTOS.

  • MINING OPERATIONS HAVE DESTROYED OR COVERED THE ORIGINAL FORM OF BODY.

Comments on development

  • CONSIDERABLE ASBESTOS REPORTED MINED MOST OF IT OCCURRED IN THE PERIPHERAL ZONE ALONG THE EAST AND SOUTHEAST SIDE. MASS FIBER ORE WAS MOST IMPORTANT VARIETY BUT SOME CROSS-FIBER ASBESTOS WAS ALSO RECOVERED.
