THE GASSAWAY MEMBER CONTAINS THE MOST URANIUM IN THE FORMATION, AND THE UPPER UNIT IS THE RICHEST. THE CHATTANOOGA SHALE IS CONSIDERED AS A LOW-GRADE OIL SHALE.

  • THE CHATTANOOGA SHALE IS INCOMPLETELY EXPOSED, WITH A PARTIAL THICKNESS OF 20.1 FEET. ONLY THE TOP OF UNIT A IS EXPOSED. THE TOTAL THICKNESS OF THE GASSAWAY MEMBER IS 11.50 FEET.
