  • ASBESTOS IN THE UPPER ZONE IS SOFT AND OF GOOD TENSILE STRENGTH; THE FIBER VEINS ARE DISCONTINUOUS, AND ASBESTOS OCCURS ONLY SPORADICALLY ALONG THE OUTCROP. AT THE PIT, ASBESTOS VEINS OF THE UPPER ZONE TOTAL 1 1/2 INCHES. THE ASBESTOS OF THE LOWEST THREE ZONES IS HARSH AND OF MODERATE TENSILE STRENGTH, AND RANGES FROM 1/4 TO 1 INCH THICK.
