  • MORE THAN 300 GOOD DIAMONDS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED FROM THE PLACERS OF THE CHEROKEE DISTRICT. WEIGHED USUALLY UP TO ONE CARAT. A GOOD MANY WERE OFF COLOR.
