  • GEOL.DESC: THIS MINE IS THOUGHT TO BE ON THE DEEP BLUE LEAD CHANNEL. WORKINGS INCLUDE A 115' VERTICAL SHAFT THROUGH LAVA CAPPING AND GRAVEL TO SLATE BEDROCK; 160' DRIFT DRIVEN WESTWARD, FROM WHICH POINT ABOUT 250' OF DRIFTING WAS DONE NORTHWESTWARD. THE MAIN CHANNEL IS BELIEVED TO LIE FARTHER WEST. EQUIPMENT INCLUDES A SAMPSON HOIST AND AIR COMPRESSOR. THREE MEN ENGAGED IN THE PROSPECTING WORK IN 1931.
