  • GEOL.DESC: THE CHANNEL IS OVERLAIN WITH A CEMENTED CONGLOMERATE AND A BASALT LAVA FLOW. PRESENT OPERATORS PROSPECTING FOR UNWORKED PORTION OF THE CHANNEL; HAVE OBTAINED SOME PRODUCTION FROM REMAINING LOOSE GRAVEL POCKETS IN OLD WORKINGS WHICH HAVE BEEN CROSSCUT. THE GOLD IS FOUND TO BE COARSE, AND MAINLY ON BEDROCK; BEDROCK CONSISTS OF A SOFT DECOMPOSED SLATE; MANY BOULDERS ENCOUNTERED. 250' ADIT WITH DRIFTS. VIRGIN GROUND SAID TO AVERAGE $3 TO $6 PER YD
