ASSAYS OF SPECIMENS QUOTED AS CONTAINING 48% MN. GREY PHYLLITE OR SLATE IS ONLY ROCK EXPOSED IN PIT; STRIKING N 45 W AND DIPPING 60 NE. MANGANESE BED NOT EXPOSED DUE TO CAVING OF PIT.

  • ONE OLD PIT 10X6' AND 3'DEEP. THE PIT NOW EXPOSES ONLY GRAY PHYLLITE OR SLATE; SAID TO HAVE EXPOSED A MANGANESE BED, BUT THIS PART OF THE PIT IS NOW CAVED.
