  • GEOL.DESC: 256' 2-COMPARTMENT VERTICAL SHAFT SUNK TO BEDROCK; CENTRAL HILL CHANNEL WAS THEN CROSSCUT AND DRIFTED ON FOR APPROX. 2200'. MOST OF THESE WORKINGS WERE IN THE SLATE BEDROCK, RAISES BEING DRIVEN UP TO TAP THE GRAVEL AT VARIOUS PLACES. A DEPTH OF AS MUCH AS 60' OF GRAVEL WAS FOUND, BUT MOST OF THE GOLD WAS ON BEDROCK OR IN THE 3' OF GRAVEL ABOVE IT. WORKED FROM 1928 TO 1931.
