Comments on the geologic information

  • GEOL.DESC: MANGANIFEROUS BEDS ORIGINALLY IN THE CHERTS HAVE BEEN DEFORMED BY SMALL SCALE FAULTING, AND WERE MADE SUSEPTIBLE TO LEECHING AND OXIDIZING. FRIABLE MANGANESE OXIDE ORES ARE FOUND IN BRECCIATED ZONES, FROM PRIMARY MATERIAL THAT WAS PROBABLY MANGANIFEROUS CHERT, HYDROUS MANGANESE SILICATES, OR DISSEMINATED MANGANESE CARBONATE.
