Comments on the geologic information

  • GEOL.DESC: RARE SCEPTER CRYSTAL FOUND HERE AS WELL AS SOME SMOKY AND AMETHYST CRYSTALS. CRYSTALS CAN BE FOUND ON TOP OF THE GROUND AND DIGGING WILL TURN UP SOME ALMOST ANYWHERE. BEST AREA SEEMS TO BE ABOUT HALFWAY UP THE MOUNTAIN, SOUTH OF THE PARKING AREA, BUT THEY ARE FOUND ALL OVER THE HILL IN AT LEAST A HALF MILE SQUARE. AREA HAS BEEN WORKED BY ROCK COLLECTORS FOR A LONG TIME BUT IS NOW WORKED OUT.
