Deposit INCLUDED IN ABOUT 5-1/3 SQ. MILES BELONGING TO PAC. MNG. CO., IN WHICH ARE ALSO LOCATED THE FRENCH, EVANS AND QUEEN SPECIMEN MINES. ORE MINERALS ARE CHIEFLY PYRITE, ARSENOPYRITE, NATIVE GOLD WITH MINOR CHALCOPYRITE, SPHALERITE, GALENA, NICCOLITE AND MILLERITE. COPPER IS THE ONLY OTHER MINERAL RECOVERED OTHER THAN GOLD OR SILVER. ERYTHRITE AND DANAITE, BOTH CONTAINING COBALT HAVE BEEN FOUND BUT PRESUMABLY ARE RARE AND WELL DISSEMINATED AND NO ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE TO RECOVER NICKEL OR COBALT. COPPER PRODUCTION LESS THAN 1000,000 LBS. - D.O.M. BULL. 144, PT. 3, 1948, P. 269 GERSDORFFITE HAS BEEN REPORTED AS OCCURRING WITH GARNIERITE IN THE PINE TREE MINE. - CALIF. JOUR. MINES & GEOL.
