Deposit THERE IS SOME HIGH-CALCIUM LIMESTONE IN THE VIC. OF BOWER CAVE, EXTENT OF WHICH UNKNOWN, BUT MOST OF ROCK EXPOSURES EXAMINED CONSIST MAINLY OF DOLOMITE OR A MIXTURE OF DOLOMITE AND CALCITE TOO INTIMATELY MIXED TO MINE SEPARATELY. MOST OF THE ROCK IS DENSE AND FINE TO MEDIUM-GRAINED AND WILL TAKE HIGH POLISH BUT COLORS ARE NOT PARTICULARLY ATTRACTIVE FOR BUILDING STONE.
