  • GEOL.DESC: ORIGINAL SAMPLE HEAVY MATERIAL FOUND IN QUARTZITE, IDENTIFIED AS A NEW BARIUM SILICATE MINERAL AND NAMED "SANBORNITE". IT IS THERE ASSOCIATED WITH A RARE RED BARIUM IRON SILICATE, GILLESPITE. THERE IS ALSO PRESENT A BROWNISH MATERIAL LATER IDENTIFIED TARAMELLITE, A BARIUM IRON SILICATE.
