Deposit DIATOMACEOUS EARTH(SILICA) WAS QUARRIED FROM AT LEAST 1954-60 FOR USE IN POZZOLANIC CEMENT AND HAS BEEN USED FOR "DIATEX BRICK". THIS MAY BE IN SEC. 17, 6N/6W WHERE BASALT ROCK MINED DIATOMITE FOR "DIATEX BRICK".
