  • GEOL.DESC: DUSTY BLACK OXIDE OCCURRING BETWEEN QUARTZ GRAINS AND OCCASIONALLY AS A COATING ON GRAINS IN A QUARTZ OR QUARTZ SERICITE SCHIST. THE ORE IS FAIRLY WELL DEFINED IN THE SCHIST AND FOLLOWS THE SCHISTOSITY. IT IS THOUGHT OXIDE IS DERIVED FROM THE OXIDATION OF MANGANESE GARNETS.
