  • GEOL.DESC: 20 FT. OF SILICEOUS MANGANESE OXIDE ORE IS EXPOSED, STRIKING N. E. AND DIPPING 60 S. E. ABOUT 5 FT. OF QUARTZ-RHODONITE ORE IS EXPOSED ALONG HANGING WALL. MOST OF ORE IS SKELETONS OF MANGANESE OXIDE SURROUNDING CORES OF LEECHED SILICA. WALL ROCKS ARE INTERBEDDED QUARTZITE AND QUARTZ MICA SCHIST. 10 FT. OF SIMILAR ORE IS EXPOSED TO THE S. W. A THIN STRINGER OF ORE IS PRESENT. PRIMARY ORE IS PROBABLY RHODONITE, DUE TO SILICEOUS NATURE OF ORE.
