  • GEOL.DESC: MANGANESE OCCURS AS LENS OF BROWN, RESINOUS BRITTLE MATERIAL IN THIN-BEDDED CHERT. VERY LITTLE OXIDE ORE IS PRESENT, THE BROWN MATERIAL BEING OXIDIZED TO A DEPTH OF A FEW INCHES. SOME RHODOCHROSITE VEINS ARE PRESENT. CHERT BELT IS ADJACENT TO SERPENTINE BODY.
