  • GEOL.DESC: DENSE BLACK CHERT BELT SEVERAL YARDS WIDE IS HEAVILY STAINED WITH MANGANESE OXIDE. SMALL AMOUNT OF LIMONITE IS MIXED WITH OXIDES NEAR SURFACE. PSILOMELANE OCCURS AS BANDS, SELVEDGES ON FRACTURE PLANES, AND SMALL VEINLETS IN THE CHERT. WHITE QUARTZ VEINLETS CARRYING PYRITE CUT THROUGH DARK GREEN CHERT.
