  • GEOL.DESC: ORE ON DUMP CONSISTS OF PARTIALLY OXIDIZED PINK RHODONITE, COATED BY BLACK OXIDES, PSILOMELANE AND PYROLUSITE. RHODONITE META CHERT IN PIT BOTTOM, PROBABLY NOT IN PLACE, IS RECRYSTALLIZED TO FINE GRAINED GRAY QUARTZITE, CONTAINING PATCHES AND GRAINS OF RHODONITE. BLOCK WAS DERIVED FROM BED AT LEAST 1 FT. THICK, AND 5 OR MORE FT. LONG. JUST N. OF PROSPECT IS A GRANITIC APPEARING ROCK, CLOSE TO BIOTITE DIORITE PORPHYRY
