ANOTHER FAULT KNOWN AS "THE CUT-OFF FAULT" WAS FOUND ON SURFACE ABOUT 150 - 200 FT. EAST OF MAIN TUNNEL. STRIKE NW, DIP 45 NE. VEIN NOT ENCOUNTERED IN MAIN TUNNEL, SUPPOSITION BEING THAT IT WAS DISPLACED BY ONE OR BOTH OF THESE FAULTS. AT 200 FT. FROM PORTAL, DRIFT RUN WEST 100 FT. RAISE ENCOUNTERED VEIN 20 FT. ABOVE LEVEL. VEIN INTACT 200 FT. VERTICALLY, TO SURFACE. ON LEVEL 80 FT. ABOVE TUNNEL LEVEL, VEIN PROSPECTED FOR 400 FT. WITH MUCH STOPING. ONE STOPE ABOVE THIS LEVEL WAS 90-FT. LONG, 100-FT HIGH AND 22 FT. WIDE. 2 SHAFTS, KNOWN AS NORTH SHAFT AND SOUTH SHAFT, 200 FT. APART, WERE SUNK ON THIS LEVEL. DEVEL. AT ASTER MINE CONSISTED OF A SENIS OF OPEN CUTS, 60-FT. SHAFT AND 100-FT. TUNNEL.

Deposit BRECCIATED VEINS. WHERE VEINS ARE THICK, BRECCIATION OF QUARTZ CONFINED TO PORTIONS ADJACENT TO WALLROCK. ORE OCCURS AS A LOOSE, FRIABLE VEIN-FILLING OF BRECCIATED QUARTZ AND AS BRECCIATED SCHIST WALLROCK. ORES OF TYLER MINE OCCUR IN FIRST CASE WHILE ORE OF ASTER MINE REPRESENTATIVE OF LATTER. ORE BODIES 1-30 FT. IN THICKNESS SEPARATED BY PINCHES IN VEIN OR LENSES OVERLAPPING WITH NARROW LAYERS OF SCHIST INBETWEEN.
