  • GEOL.DESC: MANGANESE VEINS CUT A TERTIARY (?) FANGLOMERATE. VEIN MATERIAL IS HEMATITE BLACK MANGANESE OXIDES AND BOULDERS DERIVED FROM THE CONGLOMERATE WALLS. THE ORE ZONE IN THE E. WORKINGS ARE UP TO 30 FT. WIDE, WITH GRANITE BOULDERS IN A MATRIX OF HEMATITE AND MANGANESE OXIDES. THE MAIN WORKINGS IS 2 PARALLEL VEINS, OF BLACK OXIDE ORE. THE MAIN N. VEIN STRIKES N 30 TO 45 W., AND THE S. VEIN STRIKES N 50 W.
